Damascus, after the blow
On June 22, a terrorist attack targeted the Mar Elias Church in the Doueila neighborhood of Damascus, killing 26 and wounding more than 60. In the following days, the Christian community mobilized itself massively, mourning its « martyrs » and protesting against the government, which many considered responsible for the lack of security in Christian neighborhoods.
Reports for l’Orient Le Jour, Le Pèlerin and la Tribune Dimanche.
